This keyboard is going to test how well I know my keys, because almost all the letters are worn off. So if I spell worse than usual, that's the reason. [note from Mom: yes, your spelling was
especially creative this week, McKenna!]
Yes, so most of this week was spent on a bus. You think that is an exaggeration, but I spent 29 hours on a bus this week. It takes 13 hours to get from Chiang Rai to Bangkok. We left Wednesday, at 6:00 at night, and got to transfers at 7:00 in the morning. Then we had to wait forever for transfers to start. But it was fun to talk and catch up with my old companions. Sister Holmes was way nervous to move, but move she did. I shant bore you with all the anticipation of transfers, and just tell you, I have a new companion. Her name is Sister Sawangwong. Yes. That is her name. She is Thai. Also, Elder Sugihara has a Thai companion as well, so we have been speaking alot of Thai so as to not kick them out of the conversation. It's funny how natural it is to speak Thai 24/7 every once in a while. I can't always say what I want, but Sister Sawangwong speaks okay English, so she can usually understand. We are going to start having English days to help her learn.
So, I don't really have any cool pictures to send you this week but if I were you, I would be excited for the Christmas package that will eventually be coming your way.... lets just say there's a cd that will be in it. hehehehe.
Today, we are actually in Chiang Mai. We had district conference here, It was way good. And now we're having my zone p-day.
Yup. anything else happen......? nope.
I love you all!
Cultural moment: in Thailand, cough drops are candy. Not like some people eat them (like candy): they are advertised as candy. I remember one time sister Somboonit was sick and I was like, " Do you want a cough drop?" and she was so confused, "Why would I want candy?"
Spiritual moment: It was not raining when Noah started building the ark. Sometimes we have to follow crazy promptings that seem like they have no foundation. Then after a lot of time and work, we see how important that action was.
Love you all!
